Sigma closes unpermitted water refilling station

SIGMA, Capiz — The local government of Sigma formally issued a notice of closure against a water refilling station in Barangay Amaga for operating without a permit and other required documents.

Mayor Dante Rizal Eslabon issued the closure order on Sept. 8, 2026, against water refilling station owner Rudrick Tirasol for failure to secure the required permit.

Based on municipal government records, the owner had been informed through a final notice of violation on July 6, 2026, following an earlier warning.

Despite being given time to comply, the owner failed to submit and process the required business permit with the local government’s Business Permits and Licensing Office.

Because of this, the mayor ordered the establishment closed until the owner secures the proper permits and obtains verification from the municipal government.

The mayor said the owner could face administrative and legal action under the municipal ordinance should he insist on continuing to operate the business without the required permits.
