Sea turtle found dead in E.B. Magalona

BACOLOD City – The decomposing carcass of a sea turtle was found in E. B. Magalona, Negros Occidental last Monday.
According to Environment Management Specialist II (EMS II) Jojo Vargas, the turtle was found floating by fishermen at the waters off Sitio Roma, Barangay Batea.
Vargas said the turtle measured 150 cm long and 73 cm wide.
Vargas said they were not able to determine the cause of the turtle’s death as there was no wound found on its body.
The community then immediately buried the reptile.
