The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) confirmed that they will be welcoming the national athletes back for facility training in preparation for a jam-packed 2022 schedule.
According to an official statement released by the PSC, national teams can already start their training at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on January 10, 2022.
The green light was also given to the other venues in Philsports Complex at Pasig City and the Baguio Training Camp.
Strict health and safety protocols will still be observed among the various training facilities especially their ‘no vaccine no entry rule’ among the PSC premises.
“The PSC has created a Technical Working Group which is undertaking all the necessary preparations, including the finalization of sports which may be accommodated in said facilities,” according to the statement.
To ensure a safer environment among the allowed PSC training facilities, the Philippine Sports Institute – Medical and Scientific Athletes Services (PSI-MSAS) will be preparing added health guidelines.
With only several months left for preparation, the PH delegation is looking to haul medals in the upcoming 2022 Vietnam SEA Games, the Hangzhou Asian Games, and the Shantou Asian Youth Games.
