Two of the Philippines’ representatives in the Mobile Legends M3 World Championships started on a high note and punched their tickets to the upper bracket.
Onic Philippines and Blacklist International, the top two ML teams in the PH, made quick work in their respective group stages and extended the country’s bid to another international ML trophy.
Onic PH ended with a 2-1 win-loss record in Group B which was enough to put them in the no.1 spot of their group.
Despite a shocking first match loss against Indonesia’s Onic Esports, Onic PH showed resiliency and steamrolled their way to two consecutive wins against Todak and Vivo Keyd.
The formidable duo of Mark Christian “Markyyyy” Etcobañez (Popol and Kupa) and Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol (Aamon) combined for an insane seven kills and zero deaths while Baloyskie, Hatred, and Dlar played steadily in their respective roles.
Meanwhile, Blacklist continued their onslaught and is still undefeated in the tournament with a 3-0 starting record.
The MPL PH reigning champions swept Red Canids Kalunga, Bedel, and Malvinas Gaming during the group stage and are still one of the favorites to win the M3 crown.
Blacklist is still spearheaded by team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and showed his flexibility using the hero Yve.
Kiel “Oheb” Soriano still leads Blacklist in kills after displaying his expertise with the hero Beatrix and ended the match against Malvinas with seven kills and zero deaths.
Both Onic PH and Blacklist will have their much-needed break in M3 and will see action once again on December 11, Saturday.
