The TNT Tropang Giga are looking scarier and stronger.
Fresh off a dominant 2021 PBA Philippine Cup championship run, the Tropang Giga are seeking to win their second in a row after signing former national team member Carl Bryan Cruz from the Blackwater Elite Bossing.
The Tropang Giga management made the move several days ago and shipped veteran swingman Jay Washington and two second-round picks in the 2022 and 2025 PBA Rookie drafts.
A known versatile scorer who can shoot from the three-point line and post-up in the paint, Cruz became one of the top big men in the league several seasons ago but injuries started to slow down his career.
Now that he’s fully healed and injury-free again, the sweet-shooting big man will add another offensive option to the already talented and stacked TNT roster.
Several days ago, the Tropang Giga also signed the services of Gab Banal – the league’s top three-point shooter during the PH Cup – from the Alaska Aces, and with the addition of Cruz, the frontcourt together with Poy Erram, Kelly Williams, and Dave Marcelo will be a handful for the other teams.
Leading the team are Jayson Castro, Roger Pogoy, and super rookie sensation Mikey Williams who just went off during the recently concluded PBA playoffs.
