Bobby Ray Parks Jr. wasn’t done with his offensive clinic as he led the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins to a 99-74 win over Dwight Ramos’ Toyama Grouses that completed a weekend doubleheader sweep.
The crafty leftie scorer topped his 15 points during the first game with 17 in the second duel as Ray Parks Jr. continues to make a name for himself in the Japan B. League.
Parks Jr.’s timely explosion in the second half proved to be the difference as they only led by five at halftime, 43-38.
It was the exact thing that happened in their first matchup when Parks Jr. exploded in the third quarter, this time going for a 14-point second-half.
Courtesy of Parks Jr.’s scoring burst, the Diamond Dolphins’ five-point lead suddenly ballooned to 19, 72-53, heading into the fourth quarter.
There was nothing that Ramos and Toyama could do as he continued to struggle from the field, scoring nine points with 4/12 shooting from the field.
Toyama is still winless in the ongoing B. League season in six games while Parks Jr. and Nagoya are slowly picking up their pace with back-to-back wins over the weekend.
