NiG Marketing celebrated 50 years of service, innovation and growth on Oct. 22, 2025, at the Iloilo Convention Center.
The golden anniversary gathered the company’s suppliers, institutional customers and long-time partners who have been instrumental in its journey since 1975.
As part of the celebration, NiG Marketing honored its key suppliers, institutional clients and collaborators from various industries and government agencies.
Awardees received commemorative trophies recognizing their contributions and longstanding partnerships with the company.
The recognition underscored the trust, loyalty and mutual commitment that have defined these business relationships over the decades.
The event also featured a grand raffle and entertainment segment, adding a festive flair to the milestone occasion.
Founded in 1975 by Nestor Inventor Gabalda, a native of Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, NiG Marketing began as a small farm equipment dealer in Singcang, Bacolod City.
Through Gabalda’s vision and integrity, the company grew into a regional leader serving sugarcane farmers before diversifying as the sugar industry declined.
By 1980, NiG Marketing became an accredited franchise dealer of Radiowealth Corporation and Radiowealth Finance, expanding operations to Dumaguete, La Carlota, Bacolod and Iloilo.
In 1982, the company launched RG (Singer) Marketing, a dedicated branch for Singer products that consistently ranked among the top in national sales.
Further expansion came in 1989 when Philacor Credit Corporation (PCC) accredited NiG Marketing, enabling financing for premier brands such as Sony, Sharp, Sanyo, Aiwa, JVC, Goldstar (now LG) and Singer.
That same year, NiG Marketing became an authorized dealer of Koppel Philippines Inc., formally entering the air conditioning and HVAC market—a move that cemented its leadership in Negros and Panay.
In 1994, Nestor’s son, Ronnie Gabalda, joined the company and expanded Iloilo operations with his aunt Elena, diversifying into Suzuki motorcycles, furniture and home appliances.
Under Ronnie’s leadership, NiG Marketing launched 3E Furniture in Iloilo in 2008 and later expanded to Bacolod in 2012, offering a steady supply of locally manufactured sala sets and wood furniture.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company adapted to changing consumer needs by strengthening its IT product and digital solutions portfolio.
On Aug. 22, 2021, founder Nestor Gabalda died of COVID-19, leaving behind his wife, Resty; son, Ronnie; daughter-in-law, Sanda; and nearly 300 employees.
Ronnie assumed the presidency with a commitment to preserve and advance his father’s legacy.
In August 2024, the third generation joined the company as Ronnie’s eldest son, Elijah, returned from years of professional experience in Manila.
Today, with 38 branches across Negros and Panay, NiG Marketing is a trusted name in home appliances, air conditioning systems, furniture and IT solutions.
Now in its golden year, the company reaffirmed its renewed commitment to innovation and service excellence.
“We honor my father’s legacy by continuing his vision — to build not just a business, but a company that touches lives and creates spaces where people can truly thrive,” Ronnie said.
