The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI is expanding mobile National ID activities across Western Visayas to bring registration and issuance services closer to communities.
The initiative was detailed in PSA RSSO VI Press Release Reference No. 2026-PR24, dated June 15, 2026.
The regional office said the effort aligns with the government’s thrust of delivering public services faster and closer to people.
Mobile National ID activities have been conducted through house-to-house registration, mobile deployments and participation in community caravans.
The services are intended for residents who may face difficulty going to fixed registration centers.
PSA RSSO VI said priority groups include senior citizens, persons with disabilities, students and other individuals with access challenges.
Based on preliminary regional monitoring data, 16,089 individuals were registered for the National ID system in Western Visayas in May 2026.
The May 2026 registrations included 3,551 senior citizens.
The PSA regional office also issued about 25,000 ePhilIDs across Western Visayas during the same period.
The figures remain preliminary and are subject to validation and official consolidation by the PSA Central Office.
Activities cited by PSA Western Visayas included the Project Pagkilala Caravan in Ivisan, Capiz.
The agency also conducted house-to-house registration in Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras; Libertad, Antique; and Sta. Cruz, Ibajay, Aklan.
Among the beneficiaries was Eloisa Gando, a student from Guimaras who is currently studying in Iloilo City.
Gando recently received her National ID in paper format.
She said the National ID is a big help because it serves as official and valid proof of identity for school transactions, opening a bank account and other important requirements.
Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar of PSA Western Visayas said sustained field and mobile operations are important in improving access to National ID services.
“Through our continuing mobile National ID activities, we aim to make registration and issuance services more accessible to Filipinos by bringing them closer to the communities that we serve. These efforts help address the needs of individuals who may have difficulty accessing fixed registration centers and provide more opportunities for them to avail of National ID services.”
The National ID system is designed to provide Filipinos with reliable and secure proof of identity for transactions with government and private institutions.
The ePhilID, or electronic Philippine Identification, serves as a digital or printed version of the National ID while physical card issuance continues.
PSA RSSO VI encouraged the public to follow its official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/psa6govph for schedules and announcements on upcoming mobile National ID activities.
The PSA said it remains committed to strengthening National ID implementation by ensuring that more Filipinos can conveniently access identity services.
