Man facing frustrated murder raps nabbed

A man accused of frustrated murder was arrested morning of June 21, 2022 in Janiuay, Iloilo.
Members of the Janiuay Municipal Police Station, the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the 603rd Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 served an arrest warrant against Salvador Arca, 39, of Barangay Barangay Canawili, Janiuay, and was arrested at Agcarope village.
Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo issued the warrant on May 27, 2021.
Bailbond for Arca’s temporary freedom was fixed at P200,000.
Arca was ranked as the sixth most wanted persons of Janiuay town following his involvement in a knife attack on Oct. 11, 2020 at Barangay Agcarope.
Police accounts indicated that the suspect stabbed the complainant over an old grudge.
Arca allegedly blocked the victim’s path using his motorcycle and stabbed the latter.
The suspect is now in the custody of Janiuay Municipal Police Station.
