Man arrested in Panitan drug sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police arrested a 26-year-old man in a drug buy-bust operation in Panitan, Capiz, on Thursday afternoon, July 23.
Police identified the suspect as Jeorge Diocena Daliva of Barangay Tabuc Norte, Panitan.
Personnel of the Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Panitan Municipal Police Station arrested Daliva in Barangay Agkilo at about 1:20 p.m.
Police said Daliva was arrested after allegedly handing a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer in exchange for PHP 6,500 in marked money.
Operatives also recovered three more sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 4 grams.
The seized drugs had an estimated standard drug price of PHP 27,000, police said.
Daliva remains in the custody of the Panitan Municipal Police Station while authorities prepare charges for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The seized substance remains subject to laboratory testing and confirmation.
