BACOLOD CITY – A 50-year-old man died after he drowned at a beach resort in Barangay San Isidro, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, last Wednesday.
Police Major Ronald Santillan, town police chief, said the victim, who was a resident of San Carlos City, went on an outing with family and friends.
Santillan said the victim went to the shore after a drinking session.
However, the victim’s family failed to notice that he went swimming.
After a while, one of his friends saw a person floating in the sea. When they checked, they found the victim unconscious.
The victim was declared dead at a hospital.
