Filipino superstar import Kiefer Ravena let everyone know what he was capable of and displayed his best performance in the young Japan B. League season.
Going up against Japan national team’s starting point guard and former B. League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Yuki Togashi of the Chiba Jets, Ravena shot the lights out and became Shiga Lakestars’ main man in both games but eventually fell short of clinching the win.
Ravena had 14 points and nine assists during the first game while Togashi only had 10 points on 4/12 shooting but was able to steal the win away from the Lakestars, 99-88.
During their second encounter, Ravena looked like a man on a mission and went unconscious from the field early as he produced 10 points alone in just the first quarter.
Ravena continued his scoring spree to finish with 27 points, 10 assists, and three steals.
Despite Ravena’s 11/16 shooting from the field including 4/5 from the three-point area, the Lakestars still couldn’t capitalize and crumbled in the last crucial stretch, 89-83 and suffered another loss.
Togashi was completely outdueled by Ravena in their second matchup as the Japanese point guard went scoreless for the first time in this season.
Ravena and the Lakestars are seeking to get back in the winning column when they host the visiting Shimane squad at the Ukaruchan Arena.
