Former ONE Fighting Championship bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon is eager to end his three-fight slump as he is set for a return on the big stage this December.
With back-to-back consecutive losses from belt holder Bibiano Fernandes two years ago and another exit at the hands of power-puncher John Lineker last year, Belingon is now ready to go back to his winning ways.
The former Filipino champion will be facing Kwan Won II, one of ONE FC’s rising stars hailing from South Korea.
Known to be a slick and technical fighter who waits for openings before forcing the issue, Won II will try to negate the experience factor of Belingon as they clash styles together at the MMA stage.
Belingon, who currently holds a 20-8 win-loss professional MMA record, needs to grab the win over Won II to remain as the bantamweight’s no. 2 ranked fighter.
Belingon is still training under the tutelage of head coach Mark Sangiao and the popular Team Lakay MMA training stable in the Philippines.
