Filipino-Americans Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz and Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets clashed during the NBA’s special Filipino Heritage Night celebration.
Clarkson, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, would go on to take the win together with the Jazz as they crushed the Rockets, 122-91.
The fun-filled duel saw the two Fil-Ams showcase their offensive skill as Clarkson went on to torch the Rockets with his efficient shooting while Green dazzled the crowd with his acrobatic finishes.
Clarkson went on to finish the game with 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists while Green chipped in 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Rockets.
In celebration of the Filipino Heritage Night, a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Philippine Sports Association of Texas while all fans who graced the game will be receiving a Jalen Green shirt.
Clarkson and the Jazz are still undefeated in the season, sporting a 4-0 record, while Green and the Rockets are still trying to find their groove as they fell to 1-4.
Despite the early-season struggles, Green is putting up decent offensive numbers for the Rockets as he is currently averaging 14.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Clarkson and the Jazz picked up where they left off last season when they finished as the no. 1 seed of the Western Conference but were eventually eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers.
