Get ready, City of Love! The hottest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament is launching today.
The ILO Esports Mobile Legends League Season 1 will be kicking off with 11 aspiring teams vying for the coveted championship crown.
The 11 teams that will be battling for the ILO Esports MLBB Season 1 supremacy are: PERS-ILO Adamant, Sue Slytherin, Leo Knights Esports, Ex United, Caedite EOS, Sage Unitas, AYM FNIX, In Sync AS 1NE Aquila. VRN Crimson Phoenix, and the Young Bloods IGB.
Presented by the first and only Ilonggo e-sports organization, the ILO Esports, through CEO and founder Jamar Montehermoso, in collaboration with The Prometheus Group, the tournament will be live streaming from Monday-Friday, November 8-February 4, in both the ILO Esports Facebook page and the Daily Guardian Facebook page, the tournament’s official media partner.
“ILO Esports ML League Season 1 is the biggest project of the organization yet but thanks to the backing of our local public and private sectors – especially the Iloilo City Government through the office of Rudiver Jungco Sr., EA of Youth and Sports and The Prometheus Group respectively, our team is managing to pull off this feat,” Montehermoso shared in a private interview with the Daily Guardian.
The tournament will also be following a double round-robin playing format in the regular season and will shift to a double-elimination format when the playoffs begin.
One of the teams that will be highly-anticipated in the tournament is the Ex United, the champions of the last MLBB tournament ILO Esports organized and is already one of the staple names in Iloilo City.
“This tournament is participated by some of the best teams in Iloilo and we are expecting to discover Ilonggo Esports talents who might soon play to represent Iloilo, provide a platform for the Ilonggo Esports community for the Iloilo Esports ecosystem to grow, and eliminate the mindset that gaming is a waste of time, rather, it’s the future and natural evolution of sporting entertainment and can be a viable career path for Ilonggos,” added Montehermoso.
