After two months of grueling elimination battles, the Iloilo City Basketball Club (ICBC) first conference is all set for its highly-anticipated playoff round today, at the Monterosa Subdivision basketball gym, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Just like its previous conference, the second conference playoff stage will feature the league’s best squads who made the Magic 8 based on their impressive regular season win-loss standing.
Leading the leaderboard is team Avescor X Alcoballics who officially clinched the no. 1 spot after finishing the eliminations with an unbeaten record of seven wins without a loss.
Two teams then shared an identical 5-2 record next to Avescor X Alcoballics, Team Selecta and Medal Sportswear.
Meanwhile, Team Bacfire and Pantone X Vertex finished the preliminaries with a tied win-loss record of four wins and three losses.
Grabbing the last three spots to formalize the ICBC 2024 Playoff stage are Bastard X Adring’s, Red Hammer Construction, and BBC Basketball.
A fiery matchup between the league-leading Avescor X Alcoballics and BBC will be gracing the playoff round for the first scheduled game.
After the Avescor-BBC duel, Selecta will seek to protect their twice-to-beat advantage against Red Hammer for the last game of the first playoff schedule.
A double-header will then treat the Ilonggo basketball enthusiasts on May 11, 2024 as team Medal will challenge team Adring’s in the first schedule to be followed by Bacfire’s game against Vertex.
What team will reign supreme? Are you ready for the ICBC hype? Let’s get it on!
