Mark “The Spark” Caguioa is back.
After sitting out the whole PBA Philippine Cup conference, one of the best players to ever wear the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel uniform will seek to have a strong finish in the import-laced tournament.
The news came after the San Miguel Corporation-backed team released their official lineup for the 2021 PBA Governor’s Cup.
Caguioa, who last saw action during the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup bubble where they won another championship, is expected to bring veteran leadership to the Ginebra team that is looking to bounce back after a disappointing first-round playoffs exit during the recent PH Cup.
The 42-year-old swingman will make his highly-anticipated return on December 12, Sunday, as they battle the revamped Alaska Aces squad with Olu Ashaolu as their import.
Ginebra also brought back former super import Justin Brownlee in their quest for another Governor’s Cup glory.
Right after their early exit in the PH Cup, the Ginebra management was quick to confirm that Brownlee will be making his return to the country and has already attended the team practices before game time.
Caguioa and Brownlee will be joining Jared Dillinger, Kent Salado, LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson, Arvin Tolentino, Stanley Pringle, Prince Caperal, Brian Enriquez, Jeff Chan, Raymond Aguilar, Japeth Aguilar, Sidney Onwubere, Christian Standhardinger, and MJ Ayaay in their official roster.
