After the sensational duel between brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, another exciting matchup between two Filipino imports is set to dazzle the Japan B. League.
Fresh off stellar starts in the 2021 season of the professional league, Thirdy and Kobe Paras are scheduled for a highly-anticipated battle next weekend as the San-En NeoPhoenix and the Niigata Albirex BB meet.
It was not just the Ravenas who had solid debuts as Asian imports in Japan as Paras also had a statement game after pouring in 25 huge points in his first game as a pro.
“We have another game against Niigata next weekend and Kobe who has played tremendous here. He has been my best friend ever since growing up,” said Thirdy.
Paras, who was quick to contribute for team Niigata, also played well in their second game and helped the team to a 1-1 win-loss start this season with averages of 17.5 points, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest.
On the other hand, Thirdy is fresh off a heated battle against older brother Kiefer where he bounced back from an 11-point production in their first duel with an impressive stat-line of 21 points, seven boards, and five assists in the second.
“Definitely very excited as well. I’ve been teammates with most of them except Ray Parks. Definitely excited for the other Filipinos playing in the B.League,” added Thirdy.
