The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers inched closer in capturing the prestigious Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions League title after eliminating Tuguegarao, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.
It was another dominant outing for the former Philippine Superliga (PSL) champions as the Cargo Movers imposed their will from the get-go and never looked back.
Kim Kianna Dy this time led the F2 offensive onslaught after contributing a game-high 12 attacks while co-frontcourts Aby Maraño and Majoy Baron contributed 10 points apiece.
Another balanced attack was evident in the win as opposite spikers Ara Galang and Tin Tiamzon added eight and nine points, respectively.
Aside from the consistent attack F2 had throughout the game, the on-point playmaking by newly-acquired setter Iris Tolenada also made an impact after tallying 20 excellent sets.
Aside from her playmaking, Tolenada also had a great all-around game as she blocked the ball thrice and had the same number of service aces.
With a one-day break before the finals, the Cargo Movers will be preparing against the 2021 PVL champions, the Cherry Tiggo team led by national team staple Dindin-Santiago Manabat.
“Same lang din yung paghahanda namin. Hindi rin birong kalaban ang Chery, alam naman natin yun. Yung morale nila, medyo mataas din after PVL. Good thing wala lang si Jaja Santiago. Hopefully maging healthy lang yung mga bata,” said F2 head coach Ramil De Jesus.
