Construction worker, companion yield P1-M ‘shabu’

BACOLOD CITY—Two persons are back in jail after being busted anew with 156 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,060,800 in Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, last Wednesday.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group Special Operation Unit (PDEG-SOU)-6 arrested a 47-year-old construction worker and his 45-year-old companion, both residents of the said village.
According to PDEG, the older suspect was the subject of the buy-bust operation, while his companion is a top 2 watchlisted drug personality in the town.
The two suspects had previous drug offenses and are considered high-value individuals, a PDEG operative said.
Meanwhile, in Talisay City, an 18-year-old pedicab driver was also arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Zone 12A yesterday.
Police seized from the teenager three grams of suspected marijuana worth P600, three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, the P500 marked money, and P105.
