The former three-time University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Women’s Volleyball Best Setter is set to reinforce the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
After failing to secure the grand finals spot during the recently concluded 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Choco Mucho is looking to solidify its team and acquired star Jem Ferrer from the Perlas Spikers.
Known to be one of the steadiest setters in the volleyball scene for a long time now, Ferrer will be looking to guide upcoming superstar setter Deanna Wong and the Choco Mucho franchise as they enter the new PVL season once again.
Ferrer will forever be remembered as a member of the Ateneo Lady Eagles’ “Fab 5” together with Dzi Gervacio, Gretchen Ho, Fille Cainglet-Cayetano, and Aillysse Nacachi, five of the best Ateneo women’s volleyball players during UAAP Season 71.
After an illustrious career in the UAAP where she won several individual awards, Ferrer then took her talents to the Shakey’s V-League and thrice became the league’s best setter from 2011-2012.
Ferrer will also be reuniting with her former Ateneo teammate Denden Lazaro-Revilla, who became Choco Mucho’s libero at the beginning of the season.
The decorated setter will be boosting the star-studded core of Bea De Leon, Maddie Madayag, Kat Tolentino, Pauline Gaston, and Wong.
