Birthday warmth at Amarillo

The birthday celebrant with host Dr. Putli Fuerte.
At Amarillo Restaurant, romantic décor, Mediterranean hors d’oeuvres, and flowing wine set the mood for a more personal celebration: my milestone birthday.
My dear friend Dr. Putli Fuerte generously hosted the dinner dance, bringing family and friends together for an evening that felt intimate even as the music drew us to our feet.
The pleasure was in the company. Edmond and Marjorie Mella arrived with Maybelle Trespeces-Yap, while Louella Gurrea was among the early guests, ready to help the celebrations along.
Public relations practitioner Maritess Lim joined Cream magazine publisher Joeboy Agriam and Ria Cordero, adding familiar faces to a gathering shaped by longstanding friendships.
Lawyer Carlston Fong attended with his wife, Jennifer Palmares-Fong, Megaworld Visayas’ first vice president for sales and marketing. My cousin Christian Andaya and Gigi Andaya joined us, as did social media personality Jasmine Castelo and Eddie Juatas.
The Mediterranean bites and wine encouraged us to linger over dinner. Dancing gave the evening its exuberance, with guests leaving the table to share the floor and the fun.
What stays with me is the generosity behind it all: Putli’s thoughtful hosting, the friends who gave their time, and the family who made the milestone feel so warmly celebrated.
To everyone near and far who sent birthday greetings and gifts, salamat gid. And to Putli, my heartfelt thanks for gathering so many dear people in one place.
I will remember who made room at the table.
