Best Dressed honors and a birthday among friends

Ilonggo pulmonologist and Best Dressed Women of the Philippines honoree Dr. Rollin Tabuena wears a Nono Palmos creation.
At Shangri-La The Fort, the pleasure of meeting fellow honorees came with a shared purpose: supporting the Philippine Cancer Society. The Sept. 11, 2026, gathering brought the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines community together ahead of its annual awards celebration.
Consul Helen Ong, the organization’s founding chairperson, welcomed the awardees to an evening that gave friendship and philanthropy equal billing with personal style.
Among them was Ilonggo pulmonologist Dr. Rollin Tabuena, whose Nono Palmos creation supplied a distinctive fashion note. Recognized among the male honorees, he spoke of the cause behind the occasion.
“Together, we celebrate not only style, but compassion, generosity, and hope in the fight against cancer.”
Tabuena’s words placed the recognition in perspective. The gathering connected people celebrated for their taste and accomplishments with an organization serving cancer patients and their families.
That relationship has produced something tangible. Earlier this year, the Philippine Cancer Society inaugurated the Helen M. Ong Patient Services and Multi-Purpose Hall, a renovated facility fully funded by Best Dressed Women of the Philippines.
For the honorees, the meet-and-greet offered a chance to become acquainted before the larger celebration, with a common commitment already in place.
