Any Name’s Okay’s latest single “Sungit” is an alternative pop-rock track that reminds listeners that love remains real and recognizable even in imperfect moments.
The song will appear on the band’s first full-length album, which is set for release in 2026.
“This song takes such a common Filipino word and plays around with all the complex feelings that surround it,” the group said.
“It is meant to be a snapshot of what a ‘mature’ love and relationship is — it’s never perfect, or nicely pleated,” they added.
The band said there is something comforting about the imperfections that define real-world relationships.
“We always try to root our songs in a youthful, hopeful heart,” they said.
“Sungit” highlights how petty spats, teasing, and small misunderstandings can deepen affection and make bonds feel alive.
The track reflects the familiar rhythm of arguing one moment and smiling the next, returning to a shared emotional cadence that feels innate.
Through playful yet tender lyrics, “Sungit” suggests that love thrives in pockets of imperfection.
Any Name’s Okay, a five-piece group under Sony Music Philippines, has been crafting alternative pop since 2017 with songs rooted in heart, wonder, and youthful chaos.
The band has headlined self-produced sold-out shows, performed on major stages nationwide, and represented the Philippines at the Taiwan Pasiwali Music Festival.
They are nine-time Awit Award nominees with nods for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Group Performance.
Their fan-favorite releases include “Clouds,” “Yugto,” and “Vivid,” along with the compilation albums “All I Feel and See” and “Leaving Home.”
The band is composed of Sofia Abrogar on vocals, Renzo Lumanog on rhythm guitar and vocals, Juan Lada on bass, Arvin Olete on drums, and Anton Atienza on lead guitar.
