Andrew Wiggins receives COVID-19 vaccine, can play home games

NBA forward Andrew Wiggins finally had a change of heart and decided to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

After the NBA committee headed by commissioner Adam Silver confirmed that unvaccinated players might not play in some games even on their home floor, the Golden State Warriors’ swingman was quick to get the vaccine.

Previously, the NBA confirmed that Wiggins passed a letter stating that he won’t get his vaccine citing “religious exemption”.

However, after a thorough review by the NBA panel, they denied and disapproved Wiggins’ request.

Wiggins then issued comments about his stand on the vaccine saying: “It’s none of your business, that’s what it comes down to. It’s my problem not yours.”

Now with Wiggins finally vaccinated, he is now allowed to participate in all games of the Golden State Warriors as the NBA preseason just began.

Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr confirmed Wiggins’ vaccination status to the media before leaving for Portland.
