Despite the rise in Covid cases in Western Visayas, the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 has yet to log new infections.
As of June 29, PRO-6 records indicated that it counted 1,628 confirmed cases since the pandemic began more than two years ago.
But Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said that they have no active case.
They recorded 1,622 recoveries and six deaths.
On his personal Facebook account on Wednesday, Brig. General Roderick Augustus Alba, PNP public information officer, has noted “the increasing Covid Cases in our ranks (with 13 new cases reported today).”
“Let’s not forget to always observe the MPHS (Minimum Public Health Standard). Wear your mask, Observe Social Distancing, Wash and sanitize our hands, obey all government health protocols and boost our immune system,” he said.
The PNP recorded 48,901 among its personnel, as of June 29.
Thirteen new cases were reported on the same day, which brings the total active cases to 27. The recoveries numbered 48,745 while 129 died.
