The Philippines was once again well-represented in ONE: A New Breed.
During another action-packed ONE Championship series, Denice “The Menace” and Drex “T-Rex” Zamboanga pulled-off spectacular performances and clinched impressive victories in Bangkok Thailand.
Eager to flaunt a flawless victory for her Filipino fans, Denice “The Menace” asserted her mastery over veteran Thai judo champion Watsapinya Kaewkhong and emerged with the win in just one round.
Denice hounded her opponent as soon as the bell rang and unleashed heavy punches followed by brutal knees that sent Kaewkhong down to the canvass.
After the Thai judo title-holder hit the canvass of the ONE ring, the Filipina MMA pride switched position and scored a beautifully-executed American lock for a submission win.
Meanwhile, her brother Drex, also impressed in his ONE debut after clinching a second-round win against Detchadin “Detchpool” Sornisirisuphathin.
The former URCC champion used his aggressive and powerful striking to keep Sornisirisuphathin in awkward positions that prevented the latter from getting his offense going throughout the match.
In the second round, Drex unloaded a series of 1-2 combinations that sent his Thai foe to the ground which enabled him to control the ground game and finish the match with a rear-naked choke.
