BACOLOD City – A young priest was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a dump truck parked along the national highway of Barangay Malusay, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental early Tuesday, June 13.
Police identified the victim as Rev. Fr. Rexijan Jamito, 29, of Barangay Dauis, Bayawan City.
Based on police investigation, the victim reportedly hit the rear part of a parked dump truck owned by the local government of Guihulngan.
The priest was taken to Gov William Villegas Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival, according to the police.
Jamito was a parish priest of Iglesia Filipina Independente in Barangay Hilaitan, Guihulngan City.
