WV coaches join taekwondo nat’l instructors assembly

TO UPDATE themselves on the new rules and regulations of the sport, 10 taekwondo coaches from Western Visayas attended the annual Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) National Instructors Assembly at the San Andres Sports Complex, Jan. 8, 2019.
More than 500 instructors were present in the event, including coaches from Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Capiz, and Guimaras).
Led by Regional Management Committee (RMC) Chair Jun Diasnes, the Region 6 participants are Michael Montinola of Antique, Joven Venancio of Capiz, and Aubrey Mongao, Louis Nobleza, Angelo Osayda, Ronnie Secular, Ben Capadosa, Jojo Castro, Floramie Navales, and Denmark Pinggol.
Capadosa was appointed Regional Management Committee (RMC) Region VI-B Chairman of the Department of Education (DepEd) under PTA.
“As the only Ilonggo appointed for the position, I am tasked to manage all regional taekwondo activities. My plan is to train brilliant taekwondo officiating officials to manage tournament not only in the region but to produce globally competitive DepEd officiating official by means of recommending them to attend trainings in local and international officiating course,” Capadosa said.
