JOVEN BEDIC of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo joins the Philippine Men’s National Football team as they prepare for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers tournament with a training camp and international friendly in China.
The Azkals are coming off a lengthy break following their historic first-ever campaign in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Now, the Pinoy side looks to reach even higher levels as they hope to qualify for football’s most prestigious tournament which takes place in Qatar.
Aside from Bedic, who is a mainstay of Kaya FC-Iloilo, the national team is composed of:

- Bernd Schipmann
- Amani Aguinaldo
- Marco Casambre
- Stephan Palla
- Luke Woodland
- Daisuke Sato
- Alvaro Silva
- Kevin Ingreso
- Mike Ott
- Christian Rontini
- Stephan Schrock
- Curt Dizon
- Patrick Reichelt
- Javi Patiño
While foreign-based players such as Kainoa Bailey, Diego Bardanca, Enrique Bernal, Pancho Fernandez, Kevin Guerra, Michael Kempter, Kristofer Strickler were also invited to participate in the training camp.
Scott Cooper will serve as the team’s senior coach.
The Azkals will meet the China PR Men’s National Football Team for an international friendly on Friday, June 7th at the Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium. (ABS-CBN Sports)
