The first women’s professional basketball league in the Philippines just finished the first day in their draft combine after 61 skilled ballers came to attend.
Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) organizers conducted an agility test and took the players’ biometrics on the first day which saw all 61 players perform certain drills.
During the body composition tests, two coaches from Tanita PH headed the category while veteran trainers Karlo Santos, Mark Caron, Aldo Panlilio, and Justin Aquino shouldered the agility exams.
Chris Sports and Gig Sportswear sponsored the draft combine supplies and apparel the athletes used including the bibs and the equipment.
Strict health and safety protocols approved by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) were implemented during the combine.
Furthermore, all WNBL participants, the draft combine coaches, trainers, and equipment staff were made to undergo antigen tests.
UAAP Season 71 Most Valuable Player Marichu Bacaro led the WNBL aspirants during the draft combine and is hoping to get top marks to increase her draft stock in the league.
