Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins and Orlando Magic guard Desmond Bane capped off the NBA’s insane Tuesday schedule with a pair of buzzer-beating game winners.
On Nov. 11, 2025, Wiggins’ alley-oop slam steered the Miami Heat to a grueling 140–138 OT win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Bane’s three-point heave left the Portland Trail Blazers stunned, 115–112.
Seeking to extend its NBA winning streak, Miami had to bank on another extra five-minute period to fend off the Eastern Conference powerhouse led by Donovan Mitchell, who hit the three-pointer that forced overtime.
Despite letting the game slip away in regulation, the Heat remained disciplined in OT and figured in a mano-a-mano offensive duel with the Cavaliers.
The game went down to the wire with the score deadlocked at 138-all, and Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra had to burn a crucial timeout to map out the final play.
With only 0.4 seconds left, the Heat ran that play to perfection, resulting in a decoy alley-oop dunk converted by Wiggins.
Norman Powell, who got the hot hand, fooled the entire Cleveland defense, and he sold his jab movement just like Spoelstra wanted him to do.
When the Cavaliers’ initial defense got baited by Powell’s off-ball movement, Wiggins started to flash-cut to the rim, made possible by a strong screen set by Davion Mitchell.
As a result, Nikola Jovic rifled that pass right in the pocket to Wiggins, en route to a satisfying win in front of their home fans at the Kaseya Center.
Wiggins capped off his heroics with 23 points, five assists, and two rebounds, while Powell continued his offensive rampage with 33 markers built from 13-of-14 shooting from the free-throw line alongside two dimes, a steal, and a block.
Meanwhile, in the inter-conference clash between the Blazers and the Magic, Bane played spoiler when he knocked down the buzzer-beating three-pointer with only 1.9 seconds left on the clock.
The Trail Blazers nearly had the last laugh after Jerami Grant stuffed a cold-blooded alley-oop play that put them ahead, but Orlando responded with a tough layup from Paolo Banchero to tie things at 112-all.
However, a costly turnover from veteran floor general Jrue Holiday rewarded the ball back to the Magic, giving them more time to discuss the final execution off a timeout.
As soon as the whistle was blown, Franz Wagner immediately located Bane, who got free after using a hard screen from Wendell Carter Jr. at the top of the key.
After one dribble to his right, Bane rose up for the wild Hail Mary and knocked the shot down that put the whole KIA Center in pandemonium.
It was a roller-coaster performance for the Magic in the final 1:30 of the game after Banchero missed crucial free throws that would’ve put Orlando ahead by a comfortable margin.
Portland capitalized on those misses, scoring six quick points in just 30 seconds that set up a nip-and-tuck affair on the road.
Unfortunately, Bane sucked the life out of the visiting Portland squad and finished with 22 points, including the game-winner.
Despite missing a lot of clutch shots from the charity stripe, Banchero still led Orlando with 28 markers, nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
In the other close games, the San Antonio Spurs came back from 13 points down to stun the Chicago Bulls, 121–117, while Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons survived Washington in OT, 137–135.
