The University of the Philippines Visayas will host “Find Your Inner Wealth,” a wellness and financial literacy program for students, on March 25, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the UPV Auditorium in Iloilo City as part of Women’s Month.
The program is organized by Yoga with Faylyn in partnership with the UP College of Management. It will cover financial literacy, mindful nutrition, public speaking, and yoga for mental well-being.
The organizers said the initiative was conceived against a backdrop of persistent public judgment directed at women, describing how accomplished, visible women often see the conversation shift from what they have done to how they should exist.
“These moments are not isolated incidents. They are reminders of how quickly a woman’s dignity becomes public property,” the organizers said in a statement.
The program aims to provide students and community members with practical tools rather than symbolic gestures, framing empowerment as competence, knowledge, and the quiet authority that allows a woman to decide how she presents herself to the world.
“The aim is simple. A generation of women who are informed enough, grounded enough, and confident enough to stand when the world attempts to diminish them,” the organizers said.
The event is supported by the UP Visayas Gender and Development Program, UPV Junior Philippine Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP), Florete Law, Big Leap Global, the University of the Philippines Alumni Association, the Bankers Association of Iloilo, and Daily Guardian.
Women’s Month is observed every March in the Philippines under Proclamation No. 224, which declares the month as a time to recognize the role of Filipino women in nation-building and to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment across all sectors of society.
