THE Central Philippine University’s (CPU) Golden Lions Women’s futsal trounced Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, 3-0, in the 2019 Villa Luisa Football Club futsal cup held at Kirayan National High School in Miag-ao last July 20, 2019.
The win was a retaliation of sorts as Barotac Viejo gave CPU its only loss in the elimination rounds in a squeaker of a game, 1-0.
Both teams met again in the finals after CPU’s win in the semifinals against Iloilo City National High School team B, 3-1.
Mariel Adorio, Victoria Altavas, Therese Cordero, Cydelle Deñola, Juliana Espedion, Bridgette Libo-on, DanafeLibo-on, Kat Rabino, Argelyn Silao, Shanley Soldevilla, Rea Majarocon, and Cyna Hayawon composed CPU’s champion team.
The team was coached by GP Seloterio.
