Police identified the suspect only as alias “Boy,” who was the subject of an arrest warrant for sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness.
According to the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region, the alleged incident occurred while the victim was lying on the floor inside their home, resting after doing laundry.
Authorities said the assault caused trauma and distress to the victim.
The suspect is listed as the second most wanted person in the region.
The regional office emphasized that criminal acts will not go unpunished and that the rule of law will prevail.
“No matter how elusive, those who break the law will be pursued and held accountable,” the PRO–NIR said in a statement.
