The UP Fighting Maroons continue to keep stacking the deck in their quest for that coveted UAAP Men’s basketball title next season.
In recent months, the Maroons have acquired some big names including CJ Cansino, Carl Tamayo, and Gerry Abadiano.
Just when everyone thought UP was done making moves, the Bo Perasol led team managed to land the services of one of the biggest names in the UAAP Juniors division.
UST Tiger Cubs’ superstar, Bismarck Lina, confirmed he will be landing with the maroon and black and is excited to offer his vast skillset to the team.
The former Batang Gilas member saw the opportunity as a reunion with his former teammates in Cansino, Tamayo, and Abadiano.
Standing at 6’5’’, the crafty swingman posted averages of 16.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in his final year with the Tiger Cubs and was a Mythical Team member.
Lina’s addition will add more depth to an already stacked Fighting Maroons team forming one of the most formidable teams heading into the next UAAP season.
