The construction of the UP Visayas Extension Campus in Antique is now 48.43% complete as of May 14, 2022, and is expected to be finished by September 2022.
The 900-square meter, three-story structure includes classrooms, offices, training spaces, and a conference room.
The basic facilities and the presence of this structure in Pandan, Antique will catalyze the engagements among constituent universities in the UP System, local academic institutions, and local government unit partners.
The campus – which was envisioned by the UP System to cater to higher educational institutions, stte universities and colleges, and universities in Antique and neighboring areas – is expected to welcome students and trainees in the near future.
The initiative was a brainchild of Deputy Speaker and Antique Representative Loren Legarda.
