THE University of the Philippines (UP) Men’s Basketball Team will continue their overseas circuit training as they prepare for their camp in Serbia.
The team left for Las Vegas on June 14, 2019 for their first overseas training stop.
Currently, the Fighting Maroons are in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, participating in the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Cup.
In fact, UP won against National Taiwan Sport University, 76-61, last Tuesday, July 16, 2019, as Kobe Paras posterized the Taiwanese team with his powerful dunks and led the Maroons with 15 points.
They also pummeled Huaquiao University with the score of 87-72 on Wednesday, a day after their win against National Taiwan.
The Maroons just earned their back to back wins, despite missing the services of Juan Gomez de Liano and Ricci Rivero.
After the tournament, UP will prepare for their final training camp as they arrive in Serbia.
They will trade baskets and bruise muscles with giants from the professional European basketball teams.
This is their second straight year of having a training camp in Serbia.
