Tyson Fury set to retire after Dillian Whyte fight

The tagged greatest heavyweight of this generation will no longer continue fighting and confirmed his retirement from the sport of boxing.

Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury, who scored an emphatic knockout victory over Dillian Whyte just a week ago to retain his World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight belt, announced that he will be hanging up his gloves for good.

“This is the truth, the gospel truth, nothing but the truth, I’m done. The fans will always want more, they are always baying for more blood. But at the end of the day I don’t have anything more to give,” said Fury during Piers Morgan Uncensored.

The British phenom finished Whyte during the sixth round of their highly-anticipated blockbuster fight after his clean uppercut landed straight to the jaw that sealed the deal for Fury.

Fury will be ending his stellar professional boxing career without a loss, 32 wins, and only one draw and is one of the best records in boxing history ever.

Aside from his flawless boxing resume, Fury will forever be remembered as one of the craftiest and savviest heavyweights to ever set foot in the boxing ring.

Several boxing analysts put Fury’s ring IQ off the charts in their list and has always been technical with his fighting style.

Fury’s biggest fight that caught the boxing’s world was his legendary trilogy against the hard-hitting Deontay Wilder which he won when the first bout was ruled as a draw.

The heavyweight champion then out-boxed former no. 1 ranked fighter Wladimir Klitchsko during their 2015 clash and earned career-changing victories over Steve Cunningham, Derek Chisora, and Francesco Pianeta.

“When is enough enough? I’m happy, I’m healthy, I’ve still got my brains, I can still talk. I’ve got a beautiful wife, I’ve got six kids, I’ve got umpteen belts, I’ve got plenty of money, success, fame, glory. What more am I doing it for?” added Fury.
