ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Two persons wanted for the crime of estafa were arrested in separate operations Saturday in Roxas City and Panitan town.
The Roxas City and Jamindan police nabbed Maridol Areglado, 51, of Barangay Poblacion, Jamindan, Capiz while strolling at Pueblo de Panay in Barangay Lawaan here.
Areglado is facing an estafa case filed in the sala of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 42 Judge Marie Rose G. Inocando-Paras of Dumaguete City
The court recommended PHP40,000 bail for her temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, police collared Darwin Degones at his house in Barangay Timpas, Panit-an, Capiz.
The warrant for Degones’ arrest was served by the Provincial Anti-Crime Team (PRO-ACT) and Panit-an Municipal Police Station.
Municipal Circuit Trial Court Branch 1 Judge Jennie Ann Tayag Logronio of Roxas City issued the warrant on January 26, 2021.
A PHP24,000 bail was recommended for Degones’ temporary liberty.
He is presently detained at Panit-an PNP station.
