Two more firecracker victims recorded in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two more persons were added to the list of persons hurt by firecrackers in Capiz.
An 8-year-old boy from Barangay Mangoso, Sigma, Capiz was victim No. 9 after a whistle bomb exploded on his right hand. He is presently confined in a hospital here.
On the other hand, a 12-year-old boy from Panay town suffered a burned right eye after a “boga” which he peeped into suddenly exploded.
He was confined at Bailan District Hospital and later transferred to Capiz Emmanuel Hospital in Roxas City.
Meanwhile, a motorcycle backrider who was earlier reported to have been hit by a stray bullet was wounded by a firecracker.
Police Executive Master Sergeant Candelario Calanza, Deputy Officer of Dumarao MPS, said Cloe Develos of Barangay Dacuton, Dumarao, Capiz was hit by firecracker, not a stray bullet, while riding on the motorcycle driven by Mark Lawrence Mateo.
The incident happened at Brgy. Nagsulang also in said town.
Develos is now recovering.
