BACOLOD CITY — Two people, including a minor, were injured in a fire that broke out in Purok Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport, here on Thursday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection–Bacolod reported that a 32-year-old man sustained an abrasion on his left foot, while an 8-year-old girl suffered second-degree burns on her lower abdomen.
The fire reportedly started at 4:11 a.m. and damaged one two-story house and three single-story structures, affecting five individuals.
Fire out was declared at 4:33 a.m., with the blaze leaving an estimated PHP 270,000 in damage.
Barangay Captain Rosinie Distrito shared on social media that the fire occurred near his residence, but said his household was safe and not affected.
He thanked responders who immediately helped put out the fire.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
