BACOLOD City – Police are still probing the death of two brothers who were found at Sitio Mantuhod, Barangay Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental yesterday.
Authorities withheld the names of the victims aged 24 and 29, both residents of Sitio Malig-on, Barangay Upper Linothangan, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental.
Based on police investigation, they first found the decomposing body of a man with a stab wound in the chest. A few meters away from that site, the body of the younger victim was also found.
Police have yet to provide more details about the incident, as of this writing.
The victims will be subjected to postmortem examination, according to the police.
Meanwhile, a decomposing body of an unidentified person was also found inside a sugarcane field at Purok Overflow, Barangay Cansilayan, Murcia, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
