Trike driver facing rape charge nabbed

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 36-year-old tricycle driver wanted for the crime of rape and child abuse was arrested Wednesday morning by Jamindan Municipal Police Station in Barangay Poblacion, Jamindan, Capiz.

The Jamindan police identified the suspect as Regie Morales, a native of Passi City but temporarily residing at Barangay Pangabat, Jamindan.

Judge Rommel Lacson Leonor of the Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz issued the arrest warrant on Feb 8, 2022.

The court did not allow Morales to post bail for the rape charge but the bail for the child abuse case was set at P200,000.

The suspect is presently detained at Jamindan PNP.
