BACOLOD City – Police are looking into grudges as the possible motive behind the killing of a tricycle driver at Purok Yellowbell, Barangay Binubuhan, Bago City, Negros Occidental last Monday.
The victim was identified as 37-year-old Joey Mallo, of the said village.
Based on police investigation, Mallo parked his tricycle on the roadside and waited for passengers when 31-year-old suspect Francis Dalisay arrived and also parked his tricycle in the area.
According to a witness, she later saw the victim and the suspect arguing. After which, four gunshots followed.
She heard Mallo calling for help, while Dalisay fled.
The victim suffered four gunshot wounds in his chest and was declared dead in a hospital.
Police recovered from the scene four fired cartridges of an unknown caliber. Dalisay is still at large.
