TNT Katropa displayed a brilliant defensive game, dethroning Ginebra with a big time win, 103-92, in Game 4 of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals as they advance to the finals.
With all odds against TNT, they held their ground, stuck to their defensive schemes and played with poise under pressure.
The beast in Terrence Jones has been unleashed once again, as he tallied his fifth triple-double with 24 points, 13 boards, and 10 dimes.
TNT also got a big boost as Jayson Castro, RR Pogoy, and Troy Rosario chipped in 20, 14, and 22 points respectively.
TNT limited Ginebra to just 30 points in the second half, garnering stops and converting on the offensive end.
TNT would not relinquish the lead as momentum shifted their way.
Frustration began to play a part as Ginebra’s 9-point lead in the third quickly evaporated.
Justin Brownlee scored 29 points for Ginebra.
TNT Katropa awaits the winner of the San Miguel Rain or Shine series.
