Keith “One Time” Thurman said that he can handle and figure out the way to defeat Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao in their WBA Super Welterweight Championship showdown this Sunday, July 21, 2019 (PHL time), at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
With less than a week into the fight, both fighters are already prepping up for last minute strategies and polishing of their combinations.
While Pacman is in his usual self of keeping it toned down with the media, Thurman, like many of Pacman’s past opponents, talked his mouth to every camera he can finds praising himself and talking smack against Pacman.
Thurman said in an interview: “I just think my style is one that Manny Pacquiao cannot defeat. I’m a technician in there, I make adjustments, I read you, I’m thinking about angles, I look at your patterns, I look at what you do I look at what you don’t do.”
He also pointed out that no way the “old” Pacman can keep up with his power and pace, and even told the media that Pacman’s style against Broner was “slow paced”.
In his last words, he added “I believe that I will be able to figure out Manny Pacquiao.”
Let’s see if Thurman can put his money where his mouth is.
