ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons were wounded in a hacking incident Sunday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2022, at Sitio Terum, Barangay Codingle, Dumarao, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as Andy Lanuevo Bajon, 33, and Jomar Francisco Ladate, 34, while the suspect was Jason Ladate, 37, all of said place.
Investigation by Dumarao PNP indicated that Andy and Jason were drinking liquor in a store when a heated argument erupted.
Andy later went home but Jason followed and hacked his neck, ear, and right hand.
Jomar tried to stop Jason but the suspect also hacked his right hand.
Despite his wound, Jomar was able to grab the bolo from Jason and hacked the latter’s left shoulder and two hands.
Jomar and Andy were taken to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital here, while Jason was rushed to Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial Hospital in Dao, Capiz.
