Thirdy Ravena might not be able to help his Japan B. League squad for a couple of weeks after fracturing a finger in his right hand.
During San-en NeoPhoenix’s 81-80 loss against the Sun Rockers Shibuya, the first Filipino Asian import of the league exited the court early in the third after the injury happened.
Afterward, the NeoPhoenix confirmed that Ravena’s injury was a right fourth finger metacarpal oblique fracture and will be sidelined until his full recovery.
Up to this date, the San-en team management did not release a specific timetable for Ravena’s return and the priority will be his rehabilitation after getting clearance from their team doctors.
“We will inform you as soon as the result of the detailed inspection is known,” said the NeoPhoenix team management.
Before Ravena was ruled out of the game, he stuffed the stat sheet and tallied six points and four rebounds in 18 minutes of playing time.
NeoPhoenix coach Branislav Vicentic was already deploying Ravena in full playing minutes since recovering from COVID-19 and is disappointed to see his import go inactive again.
