Thirdy Ravena will be following the footsteps of his older brother Kiefer.
After playing all his eligible college years with the Ateneo Blue Eagles, Thirdy skipped the PBA draft just like Kiefer and is planning to conduct his intensive private basketball workouts abroad.
The plan Thirdy is eyeing is not for the PBA or NBA draft, but he committed to honing his skills abroad for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
After the disappointing outing of the Gilas Pilipinas last FIBA, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) hand-picked some players to be included for the Gilas 2023 pool and Thirdy was a part of it.
Al Panlilio, the SBP president, said that Thirdy approached him and said that he has plans going abroad to smoothen up his game so that when 2023 comes, he is well-prepared.
Panlilio also said that Thirdy might go to Australia or Japan for his camps and no decision has still been made if he will also participate in the big basketball leagues there.
